The Rotary Club of Burntwood and District President - Mr. Paul Smith

It has taken me 16 years to become President of this club and I intend to enjoy each and every minute of it, and I hope that everyone in the club look forward to Wednesday nights and not feel as if they have to attend but really want to be there.

I hope to continue with the fantastic fellowship and fun that we have managed to achieve over the years.
I am very lucky to have simply the best set of members, and indeed friends, it is possible to have, and I know with these people behind me we will raise record amounts of money for worthy causes, but still having fun while we are doing it.

This year we have pioneered a new idea in Rotary, we have introduced a new membership called Associate Member. An Associate Membership is for people who are in sympathy the ideals of Rotary but at present do not have time or do not want to commit their time fully to Rotary. They would be kept informed of all the events and functions coming along in the future, they would also be entitled to attend as many or as few meetings as they want or in fact they need not attend any if they don’t want to. They would have full access to our Web site, and at only £25 it could be considered a donation with a chance of gaining so much more.
